About the Gallery

Snobby's is a gallery for collectors who understand that a work of art is worth precisely what is paid for it.

We represent a small number of artists whose practice withstands this understanding. We do not hold inventory. No work is created speculatively; each piece is executed only upon acquisition, within fourteen days, and dispatched thereafter.

The gallery maintains three commitments

Candour. Every statement the gallery makes about a work is true. Collectors are invited to verify this and will find the exercise unrewarding.

Documentation. The gallery holds that a work is constituted as much by its paperwork as by its canvas. Documentation is therefore issued in proportion to the price.

Discretion. The gallery does not discuss the circumstances of a work's removal from sale, the identities of its collectors, or the location of Lot 006.

The gallery's correspondence may be received by electronic address. It is infrequent and unapologetic.
